2.5″ Hard pipe upgrade removes fords 2.0″ restrictive boost pipe (cold side). They saw gains of 10 bhp+ & 9 lb/ft torque increase’s over the standard Ford equipment, gains will vary depending on spec of your ST

Fitting takes 1 – 2 hours depending on mechanical skill & tools available

Important Note: The Pre-facelift ST has a different radiator compared to the facelift & RS, this makes the left hand pipe (Inlet side) very tight against the radiator cradle & boost hose, they recommend removing the radiator cradle bolt, levering the cradle to the right and re-drilling a new hole & then replace bolt. Its very simple and easy to do, but is necessary to give you extra clearance for the bigger 2.5″ pipe, if you are still not happy with fit we would recommend fitting a RS radiator, not required to get the power you want, just makes cold side hose fit nicer.

Equilibrium

Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document.

Bolts onto the bottom of the radiator cradle so there is not major weight put onto the standard radiator mounts like other alloy intercoolers on the market

Ford Focus MK3 ST TDCi CP2 Software

Stage 2 – Requires no other modifications – works with standard or modified car – although additional hardware is recommended

There is no additional hardware requirements with this upgrade.

 

For customers wanting some additional noise the software works well with all DPF back exhaust systems. However customers will have to pay for a upgrade cost  if they want to run a DPF delete pipe.

 

The software will work with some induction systems for additional induction ‘roar’ (such as the RS Mk3 airbox) however certain ‘Gp A’ type systems can cause the car to go into limp mode issues

 

There no requirement also for a bigger intercooler we spent over 18 months on both the road and dyno evaluating and testing the each of the standard components on the car during the development of CP1 software

 

The standard factory intercooler is based on the one fitted to the RS MK2 and is happy even on a track day for applications over 330bhp – during extensive testing we never saw more than +10 deg C over ambient under full load which is the approximate target that we work too

 

What can be miss leading when data logging the IAT’s on this model is the shutter system, ahead of the intercooler, when closed (when cruising etc) showing a major increase in IAT’s which can cause owners data logging their cars concern – However the moment the shutters open the IAT’s immediately plummet back down to normal levels

 

What we would recommend/suggest is the removal of the shutter system as the mechanism can be prone to sticking shut
